Jettainer has extended its unit load device (ULD) management agreement with CMA CGM Air Cargo, continuing its role as the airline’s long-term partner for ULD services.
The original contract, signed in 2022, has been extended ahead of schedule to support CMA CGM Air Cargo’s planned fleet expansion and increasing operational requirements.
Supporting Fleet Expansion
Under the renewed agreement, Jettainer will continue to provide comprehensive ULD management services, including the supply, maintenance and repair of equipment used in cargo aircraft operations.
The company will also manage a customised ULD fleet tailored to CMA CGM Air Cargo’s operational needs. Jettainer’s digital platform, JettwareNG, will support the management of the equipment, enabling real-time tracking and providing operational data across the airline’s network.
Part of CMA CGM’s Integrated Logistics Strategy
Launched in March 2021, CMA CGM Air Cargo forms part of the broader strategy of the CMA CGM Group to offer integrated maritime, land, air and logistics services.
The airline currently operates a fleet of eight aircraft, including five Boeing 777 freighters, one Airbus A330 freighter and two Boeing 747 freighters. The fleet is expected to expand further from 2027 with the planned addition of eight Airbus A350 freighters.
CMA CGM Air Cargo operates from hubs in France, the United States and Belgium, providing connectivity across major international air cargo routes.
Jettainer said the partnership will continue to support the airline’s network growth while improving the efficiency and visibility of ULD operations across its expanding fleet.
