Kuehne+Nagel has expanded its healthcare logistics network in India with the opening of a temperature-controlled airfreight cross-dock facility in Hyderabad.
The investment is aimed at supporting the safe and compliant movement of pharmaceutical and medical shipments, in response to growing demand for specialised healthcare logistics solutions.
Strengthening Presence in a Key Pharma Hub
Hyderabad is a major pharmaceutical manufacturing centre, contributing more than 40% of India’s active pharmaceutical ingredients and vaccine production. The new facility is strategically located to improve proximity to customers and manufacturing sites, supporting more efficient handling and distribution.
Supporting Temperature-Controlled Supply Chains
The 248 sq m facility operates across dedicated temperature zones of +2°C to +8°C and +15°C to +25°C, ensuring product integrity across a range of healthcare shipments.
The site is certified under Kuehne+Nagel’s HealthChain standard, supporting consistent GxP compliance across healthcare supply chains. With this addition, the company now operates two HealthChain-certified facilities in India, following the launch of its Bengaluru Cool Zone facility in December 2025.
Expanding Healthcare Logistics Capabilities
Anish Kumar Jha, Managing Director for Kuehne+Nagel India, Sri Lanka and the Maldives, said the investment strengthens the company’s ability to support healthcare customers in one of India’s key pharmaceutical hubs, while enabling compliant, temperature-controlled connections to global markets.
