tlacSEA 2025 Logistics Innovation Regional Connectivity Southeast Asia

With Southeast Asia emerging as a global logistics powerhouse, the upcoming transport logistic Southeast Asia and air cargo Southeast Asia (tlacSEA) event is set to convene more than 10,000 logistics professionals, 300+ exhibitors, and over 90 expert speakers at the Sands Expo & Convention Centre, Singapore, from 29–31 October 2025.

Themed around supply chain innovation, cross-border connectivity, and sustainable logistics, tlacSEA 2025 will provide a platform for public and private stakeholders to explore breakthroughs in AI-powered freight optimisation, multimodal transport, and green logistics strategies.

Indonesia Spotlight: Technology as a Game-Changer

As Southeast Asia’s largest economy, Indonesia remains central to discussions around logistics modernisation. The country’s high logistics costs—driven by its archipelagic geography—are prompting digital transformation efforts to streamline operations and boost global competitiveness.

On 15 August 2025, the tlacSEA Connect Indonesia event was held in Jakarta, co-hosted with the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN). The half-day session brought together policymakers, logistics associations, freight forwarders, and technology innovators to discuss infrastructure development and national digitalisation goals.

Key topics included:

  • Enhancing trade efficiency across Indonesia’s multi-island network
  • Digitising port operations and customs via integrated platforms
  • Lowering logistics costs to support GDP growth and MSME inclusion

“Logistics efficiency is the key to reducing national distribution costs,” said Mr. M. Akbar Djohan, Chairman of the Indonesian Logistics & Forwarders Association (ALFI). “Through collaboration and technology, we can strengthen an integrated logistics ecosystem and open wider market opportunities.”

Aligning National Priorities with Regional Growth

Michael Wilton, CEO and Managing Director of MMI Asia, stressed Indonesia’s critical role in the regional logistics transformation. “Through tlacSEA Connect Indonesia and the main event in Singapore, we aim to align national priorities with regional strategies and support practical solutions for long-term growth,” he said.

Teguh Anantawikrama, KADIN’s Vice Chairman for Technology Transformation, added that Indonesia’s participation in tlacSEA 2025 will highlight the country’s readiness to collaborate on the global stage. “KADIN encourages businesses not only to attend but to actively contribute to the international dialogue on digitalisation and logistics efficiency,” he said.

Other key speakers included:

  • Ali Moertopo, Deputy III of the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs
  • Mahendra Rianto, Chairman of ALI
  • Liana Trisnawati, Chairwoman of ABUPI
  • Utami Prasetiawati, Chairwoman of PPLBI
  • Iman Sedayu Pusponegoro, Chairman of ALDEI
  • Singapore 2025: Regional Platform, Global Reach

Held in Singapore, one of the world’s most connected logistics hubs, tlacSEA 2025 will offer in-depth country-focused sessions, including follow-ups on Indonesia’s progress and deep dives into other key markets such as Vietnam and Malaysia.

Participants can expect:

  • Networking with global freight, tech, and policy leaders
  • Country-specific forums linking national priorities to ASEAN-wide goals
  • Showcases of cutting-edge logistics solutions and sustainability initiatives

Looking Ahead

As Southeast Asia pushes forward with digital transformation, multimodal integration, and sustainability, tlacSEA 2025 is positioned as a strategic regional platform to align ideas, spark partnerships, and foster resilience in global supply chains.

By bridging public policy with private innovation, the event aims to shape the next decade of regional connectivity and logistics excellence.
